Anyone is invited to place an ornament on the tree.
LUDLOW - The Kapinos-Mazur Funeral Home on Sewall Street announced the creation of an Angel Tree in its parking lot in response to the school shooting in Newtown.
The 20-foot Balsam tree is covered in white lights and dedicated to the memory of the 26 victims of the Newtown school shooting.
“Anyone wishing to place an angel, ornament, ribbon, note or other suitable item on the tree is invited to do so,” Funeral Home Director Edward P. Mazur said.
He said the lot and tree will be illuminated 24 hours a day, through the holiday season.
Mazur said, “Many of the people I have spoken to feel so helpless. Let this by a symbolic gesture of support for all involved from the families, to the educators to the first responders.”
