A motorcylist, and a passenger who was riding with him, were both injured after colliding with a car on East Street.
LUDLOW — Two people were injured in a collision between a car and a motorcycle on East Street late Sunday afternoon.
The crash, reported around 5:30 p.m. near 840 East St., forced authorities to close a stretch of the roadway as they investigated, but East Street was later reopened to drivers.
Ludlow police were unable to immediately confirm details of the crash, but abc40 reports that the driver of the motorcycle, a 44-year-old man, sustained a broken leg, while his passenger sustained non-life-threatening injuries. Both were taken to Baystate Medical Center in Springfield for treatment, according to the TV station.
The driver of the car, a 26-year old woman, was reportedly uninjured.
The crash remains under investigation.
