Police Chief Stephen Kozloski Jr. said Tylor Z. Young and Amanda Charron, both of 49 Washington St., were arrested in connection with a house break on Flynt Avenue last week.
MONSON — Monson police arrested two more people on breaking and entering charges, and the suspects are expected to be arraigned today in Palmer District Court.
Police Chief Stephen Kozloski Jr. said Tylor Z. Young and Amanda Charron, both of 49 Washington St., were arrested just before 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. He said officers acted on information from an investigation into a house break on Flynt Avenue that happened on Sept. 5, and obtained a search warrant for 49 Washington St.
During the search warrant execution, he said police recovered a number of pieces of jewelry stolen in the Flynt Avenue break. The Monson Police Department also obtained evidence linking Young to an attempted break on Washington Street that occurred on Sept. 5 as well as links to possible breaks in Ludlow and Sturbridge.
The department is continuing its investigation into house breaks on Pease Avenue and Maxwell Road that occurred on Sept.12, and Beebe Road that occurred on Aug. 31, Kozloski said.
Young and Charron were charged with two counts of felony daytime breaking and entering, larceny from a building, vandalizing property, receiving stolen property over $250, heroin possession and possession of ammunition without a permit. Young is facing an additional charged of felony daytime breaking and entering, police said.
Kozloski said these break-ins are not related to the arrests and break-ins reported earlier this week.
"Residents are encouraged to remain alert and to immediately report any suspicious activity to the Monson Police Department," Kozloski said in a press release.
